If you're wandering through the bustling streets of Jongno District in Seoul, make sure to stop by Cafe Jongno Market. Nestled at 10 Ujeongguk-ro 2-gil, this charming cafe is not only a feast for the senses but also a sanctuary for those seeking a cozy retreat amidst the city's vibrant energy.

This cafe impresses with its aesthetically pleasing interior, a delightful nod to modern yet inviting design. With cozy spots perfect for unwinding or capturing that Instagram-perfect shot, it's no wonder patrons like Dylan Li rave about its visual appeal. Just imagine savoring a slice of their rich Biscoff cake, which brings a unique twist with its surprisingly soft cookie layer, or enjoying the delicate textures of their mille-feuille cake, which is as delightful to bite into as it is beautiful to behold.

But it's not just about the visuals! The beverage offerings are equally enticing, including their famous strawberry latte, which, while described by Dylan as more akin to "strawberry milk," still captures the sweet essence of fresh produce combined with creamy goodness. If you're looking to indulge further, their selection of pastries, tarts, and cookies is bound to satisfy your sweet tooth!

Customer experiences reflect the appreciation for both the cozy atmosphere and the cafe's enticing menu. Like Helen MacDonald, who visited the cafe last year, you may find it a charming, quiet escape, ideal for enjoying a moment of peace with a lovely 350ml Terra beer in hand, especially amidst the historical charm of the nearby Bell Tower.

However, as yennything points out, the quaint nature of Cafe Jongno Market means it can fill up quickly during busy hours. With limited parking available, it may be wise to stroll over or rely on Seoul's excellent public transportation system. It’s these little quirks that give the cafe its unique charm!

For those who appreciate the finer details, the cafe’s menu is curated to offer a variety of delicious drinks and pastries that cater to diverse tastes. Frequent visitors like Fahd Alanazi remark on the beautiful ambiance paired with scrumptious coffee and sweets, making it a spot worth revisiting.

No visit would be complete without mentioning how the serene ambiance seamlessly juxtaposes the bustling street life outside, creating the ideal backdrop for relaxation or an inspiring catch-up session with friends. With a variety of desserts and expertly crafted coffee, Cafe Jongno Market is poised to become one of your favorite spots in this vibrant city.

Pricey, but aesthetic cafe with good desserts! The Biscoff (Lotus) cake was delicious, though we didn't expect the cookie to be soft. The mille feuille cake had a nice texture and mild taste. The strawberry latte was essentially just strawberry milk.

I went here last year it was very quiet, I wasn't staying in the area made a special trip, this year it was full to capacity, everyone was enjoying themselves. (It was lunchtime)They sell alcohol now which they didn't before, had a 350ml Terra, just the right size. The Terra in the 500ml is a bit too much for me. It is a lovely place with the old Bell tower outside and Jongno tower behind.

My review is based on my personal experience which can be so different from others' experience. (+) Instagrammable; pretty interior (+) Lots of yummy pastries & drink selection (+) Located right next to 보신각 (-) It’s pretty small, so might have to wait during busy hours (-) Limited carpark, better to walk or use public transportation (*) Some of the part timers here do speak English
